We enjoy every event that we attend and this is because we have built up a particularly good relationship with the sites and the organisations that run them. Reigate Fort is one such place and our hosts the National Trust are just brilliant.
The fort was built as part of a 72-mile defense line to protect London whilst a huge ship-building programme was initiated by the British government. The southern line was divided into 10 sectors and the fort fell into ‘Redhill Position’, which was 11km long.
On Saturday night, out comes the barbecue and this is a good way to unwind, talk all things “Great War” and catch up with our National Trust hosts.
What a fabulous place and we cannot wait to come back.
